Occasionally I go on a bike ride and post it on Strava.

Oct 2023: DC to Pittsburgh

Five-day, 347-mile bikepacking trip starting in Washington DC and ending in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I flew into Pittsburgh and then took the Amtrak to Washington DC with my friends to start our trip. Starting in Washington DC, we road the C&O canal towpath that follows the Potomac river. In Cumberland, MA we switched over to the Great Allegheny Passage which is a mixed-use trail converted from an old railroad. The trip was perfectly timed for the beautiful fall colors.

Sep 2023: Santa Cruz 70.3

This was my second time at IM Santa Cruz and there were excellent weather conditions yet again. This 70.3 was the first time racing on my Ribble road bike. Also, I set a new PR for the run portion of the 70.3!

May/Oct 2023: Point Reyes Overnighters

Twice over the summer, I did a bikepacking overnight route leaving from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge and heading up to Point Reyes Station. Both trips we camped in Olema campground.

Mar 2023: Puerto Rico Coast Tour

After the Puerto Rico 70.3, I spent two days touring 180 miles of the coast to get a more wholistic view of the island. I loved the outdoor-centric towns, colorfully painted houses, and the constant ocean views. The first day we rode from San Juan to Guayama, and the second day from Guayama to Mayagüez.

Mar 2023: Puerto Rico 70.3

The swim was my favorite leg of the course as it went through a protected bay where we swam over stingray and other fish. The warm water was so comfortable compared with the San Francisco Bay. The bike took us out along the coast with breezy headwinds on the return. The run wound through Old San Juan with views of both castles. The run was the liveliest course I've done with spectators cheering all along the entire route.

Sep 2022: Santa Cruz 70.3

An excellent Ironman 70.3 course overall with scenic ocean views throughout. The swim course takes you around the Santa Cruz pier which allows spectators to easily watch the full swim leg. The bike course heads up the coast along Hwy 1 and the run course winds through the top of the coastal cliffs.

Sep 2022: Alcatraz Swim

Ok, this one's not a bike ride, but I had a blast swimming from Alcatraz island into the city of San Francisco. The waves were not too choppy and the clear skies gave views of the Golden Gate bridge with each breath. And most importantly, I completed it with a few friends who cleared the water of sharks ahead of me.

June 2022: Korea Bike Tour

Six days, 360 miles, from Incheon in the northwest to Busan in the southeast along the Four Rivers bike trail. Lots of noodles, lots of rain, and lots of pristine river views.

Two-day, 33 mile bikepacking trip through the Eldorado national forest.  We were mostly on well-traveled logging  roads but  had a few fun single track trails the second day.

Oct 2021+: Jasper Ridge Preserve Volunteering

I volunteer as a ranger at Stanford's Jasper Ridge Biological Preserve. I help maintain trails for the researchers and students who frequent the Preserve. Mostly, I mountain bike the trails saying hi to all the deer, coyotes, ducks, and banana slugs.

Sep 2021: Two Miles of Elevation

Accomplished my summer goal of climbing two miles of elevation (actually 10,689 ft. to be exact). I lucked out with good air quality and cloud cover almost the entire time.
